About Us
A group of print specialists were living down in apartments in Austin, Texas, moving from apartment to apartment over the years and always ending up with bare walls. Because they worked in the printing industry they were able to get great quality prints on cool materials to decorate their rooms. It started with simple things like posters and banners, but then moved to more fun objects like making a custom beer pong table or wrapping a refrigerator.
And then they realized that they probably weren’t the only ones who would like to decorate their places in new ways, and that it’d be possible to get better designs by opening it up to all of the artists online. And that’s where the idea for Freshnik came from: to make a site where people could get great designs, on interesting products, at really good prices so people could try out as many products as they wanted and changed them often.
Freshnik is starting with a small group of products and designs done in-house, but will open up the designs to the artist community and add a lot cooler products, like:
- • iPhone, laptop, and rock band skins
- • Custom beer pong tables
- • Desk, refrigerator, and car decals
- • T-shirts and other specialty products
